Georgetown, Guyana – (November 19, 2015) President David Granger, today, met with members of President’s College Alumni Incorporated and members of a new local chapter, who reaffirmed their support to working with the Administration to push the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) initiative.
In a brief comment after the meeting at the Ministry of the Presidency, Treasurer of the President’s College Alumni Incorporated, Lumumba Angoy said that we have offered our support to do the best that alumni can do to enjoin that vision of his as well as to achieve our very own objectives.”
The alumni body also has plans to assist with the restoration of the school’s infrastructure, within the limit of its budget, develop an e-mentoring programme, which would allow for current students to have meaningful interactions with alumni members, and try to facilitate internships for students in keeping with the STEM initiative.
