Georgetown, Guyana – (December 27, 2018) HisExcellency David Granger, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, extends heartfelt condolences at the passing of Sir Fenton Harcourt Ramsahoye, S.C.
Sir Fenton, who passed away earlier today in Barbados at the age of 89, was a distinguished Guyanese attorney who authored the book, ‘TheDevelopment of Land Law in British Guiana’.
He served as the country’s first Attorney General from 1961-1964 in the Legislative Assembly of British Guiana. He continued to serve in the Legislative Assembly until 1966. From 1966 to 1973, Sir Fenton served as a Member of Parliament.
