Georgetown, Guyana — (August 15, 2018) Minister of State, Mr. Joseph Harmon, today, received a courtesy call from Miss World Guyana, Ambika Ramraj. The brief meeting was held at the Minister of State’s Office, Ministry of the Presidency.
The State Minister encouraged the pageant queen to showcase the beauty of Guyana’s diversity during the competition at the upcoming Miss World Preliminaries and Pageant, scheduled for be held between November 9 to December 8.
Ms. Ramraj expressed her eagerness to put a spotlight on Guyana’s diverse peoples and resources. She also mentioned her work with the Sophia Special School, with which she has partnered for the Beauty with a Purpose aspect of the competition’s preliminaries. Minister Harmon encouraged her to continue along that path, expressing his pride in and anticipation of, her imminent success.
