Georgetown, Guyana — (August 15, 2018) First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger, was today, paid a courtesy call by the Fifth and Sixth San Fernando Brownie and Junior Guides of Trinidad and Tobago. The meeting took place at the Baridi Benab, State House.

Troup Leader, Ms. Darrell Leacock said that it was the strong influence and leadership of the First Lady, who is a patron of the Guyana Girl Guides Association that brought the guides to State House. “We’re all sisters in guiding… We’re always looking for role models for our girls, people that they can emulate. [They will] realise that women can be… go getters in the world. [Mrs. Granger], being… very open to Girl Guides in Guyana, we are hoping that when they see her they can emulate her,” she said.
