Georgetown, Guyana – (November 07, 2016) Reverend Dr. Collin Cowan, General Secretary of Council for World Mission (CWM), earlier this evening, paid a courtesy call on President David Granger, at the Ministry of the Presidency.
During the meeting, several areas including the ‘green’ economy, climate change, the management of the environment, human trafficking, youth employment and participation in national matters and the role of the church in the development of society and a nation, were discussed.

The Reverend is currently in Guyana on a three-day visit to facilitate the CWM Caribbean’s Roving Faculty of Theology for Transformation at the Brandsville Hotel and meeting with the leadership and youth of the Guyana Congregational Union (GCU). Dr. Cowan said that he is impressed with the drive and determination to advance the development of a ‘green’ economy and it is his hope that the church can play a role in promoting the idea.
