Georgetown, Guyana – (June 16, 2016) Guyana is set to participate in a regional workshop on the Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT) and Revenue Administration – Fiscal Information Tool (RA – FIT) in Barbados from June 20-24.
Cabinet, on June 7, approved the attendance of Ms. Gracelyn George, Senior Economic and Financial Analyst, Ministry of Finance; Ms. Wendy Vyphuis, Senior Manager, Planning and Analysis Division and Ms. Alika Austin, Assistant Commissioner of Inland Revenue both of the Guyana Revenue Authority, at the workshop.
The participants will be exposed to the new data collection International Survey on Revenue Administration (ISORA) that will enhance performance measurement and management, which is expected to enhance effectiveness as it relates to tax administration and other issues in both the GRA and the Finance Ministry.
The workshop is being partly funded by the Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC).
