Georgetown, Guyana – (April 29, 2016) The Cabinet has granted approval for Ms. Jewel Sears, Deputy Director of the Food and Drug Department, within the Ministry of Public Health, to attend the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Good Regulatory Practices Consultative Meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the WHO headquarters from May 2-5, 2016.
Guyana is currently in the process of implementing changes in the law regarding good regulatory practices and as such the country’s participation in this meeting could prove beneficial.
The WHO will cover all costs associated with this meeting.
