A visiting team from the National Archives of the Netherlands, earlier today, paid a courtesy call on President Granger, as they sought to brief him on the current digitalisation processes at the local National Archives. The team is expected to finalise arrangements, for close to 25 metres of document text from the Dutch period, from between the 1650s to the 1800s, to be transported to Holland to be fully digitalised and returned to Guyana. Funding for this project was provided by the government of the Netherlands.
