Georgetown, Guyana – (June 9, 2016) The Cabinet granted no objection for four representatives from within the Ministry of Public Security to attend a training session hosted by the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) titled “Introduction to the Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Phenomena”, which will be hosted from June 13-17, 2016.
The participants are as follows:-
Superintendent Brian Eastman of the National Central Bureau
Assistant Superintendent Mitchel Caesar – Human Trafficking
Assistant Superintendent Stephen Telford – Prosecutor
Inspector Michelle Davis of the Immigration Department
The training session is aimed at introducing concepts pertaining to combating human trafficking and migrant smuggling to specialised officers from law enforcement agencies.
Cost for attendance at this training session will be fully covered by INTERPOL.
