Georgetown, Guyana – (June 9, 2016) Chief Fisheries Officer within the Ministry of Agriculture and current Chairman of the Caribbean Fisheries Forum, Mr. Denzil Roberts, will attend the 32nd Meeting of the FAO Committee on Fisheries from July 11-15, 2016 in Rome, Italy.
The meeting is intended to address the move forward with regards to policy, capacity building and effective well-coordinated partnerships and will provide opportunities for the FAO to respond to the needs of Small Island Developing States in the area of fisheries and aquaculture.
Cost for attendance at this meeting will be covered by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.
