Georgetown, Guyana – (June 9, 2016) Guyana is currently wrapping up participation in a ‘Regional Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Training in Washington DC, United States of America, which has been organised by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).
Cabinet approved the attendance of Dr. Ozaye Dodson, Veterinary Public Health Officer, Ministry of Public Health at the three-day workshop, which started on June 6 and concludes on June 9.
The training seeks to support countries in the implementation of Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) measures and contribute to increased trade opportunities in Caribbean Forum (CARIFORUM) countries.
The IICA covered all the costs associated with Guyana’s participation.
