Georgetown, Guyana – (April 14, 2016) President David Granger, today, met with residents of Belladrum, West Coast Berbice who discussed with him their plans to revive farming activities within the Profit-Rising Sun Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) district.

The group was led by Mr. Lelon Saul and included Chairman of the Profit-Rising Sun NDC, Mr. Emile Wilson and Chairman of the Belladrum Community Development Council (CDC), Mr. Julian David. Together, the NDC and the CDC plan to roll out initiatives to improve the social and economic conditions of residents within that area.

Thus far, they have received $1M from the Government under the Community Development Programme that is being implemented through the Ministry of Communities.
