Overview
The Department of Energy’s Internship Programme offers eligible young persons the opportunity to acquire practical experience in the Oil and Gas Sector working alongside its staff.
The Department, is active in various functional areas related to its mandate, which can be categorized as: (i) policy formulation and implementation, (ii) governance, (iii) legal contracts administration, and (iv) institutional development.
An internship with the Department of Energy (DE) provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in the Oil and Gas Sector. It is the expectation that interns will find their attachments rewarding and fulfilling, while simultaneously enhancing the quality of their CVs.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a Technical or Vocational Educational Institution or a University pursuing Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Law, Economics or other related fields; or have graduated within the last 5 years.
Applicants must be between the age of 18 – 30 years.
Be proficient in English language.
Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
Additional consideration may be given to past professional experience in a technical field.
