Georgetown, Guyana – (October 10, 2018) First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger, this afternoon, joined hundreds of students from secondary schools across the regions and representatives from Massy Distribution (Guyana) Incorporated at the National Cultural Centre to view the theatrical production “Unbreakable”. The play dramatized the signs and effects of depression, which may lead to suicide, with the view of teaching children how to cope with the pressures and challenges of life.
Massy Distribution, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Navin Thakur said that the company took the decision to highlight this national issue and to present some solutions, in a manner that would be easily understood and reach its target audience, as part of its 50th anniversary programme of activities. Director of the Mental Health Unit, Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Util Thomas and Regional Education Officer, Upper Demerara-Berbice (Region Ten), Ms. Marcia Paddy-Andrews also attended the play.
