Georgetown, Guyana – (March 22, 2018) President David Granger expressed Guyana’s appreciation for the continuous support of Conservation International (CI) over the past 25 years and more particularly, for the important role the international organisation is playing in the promotion of the country’s ‘green’ development agenda. He expressed these sentiments to the President of Conservation International, Ms. Jennifer Morris, by whom he was paid a courtesy call today.

Executive Director of CI Guyana, Dr. David Singh and Head of the Department of Environment, Ms. Ndibi Schwiers also attended the meeting, which was held at State House.

Ms. Morris commended the President for demonstrating visionary leadership on environmental issues in the global arena and reaffirmed CI’s commitment to working with Guyana.
