Georgetown, Guyana – (July 27, 2017) Machinery Corporation (MACORP) has thrown its support behind the Ministry of Social Cohesion’s Inter-Village Exchange Camp, which will be held in Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo (Region Nine), beginning August 13, 2017. Minister of Social Cohesion, Dr. George Norton was on hand to receive the cheque for an undisclosed amount from MACORP’s Product Support Manager, Mr. Guillermo Escarraga at the company’s Providence, East Bank Demerara office this morning.

Minister Norton expressed gratitude to the company for its support and applauded its management for honouring its corporate social responsibility to the Guyanese public. “I want to thank MACORP for the help they have rendered to us; we see this as being mutual to both of us,” Dr. Norton said.

Mr. Escarraga pledged his company’s continued support to this initiative and others that will come on stream. “I want to commend the Minister for bringing together people. In this way we ensure that we are moving in the same direction and we share common goals for the development of the communities,” he said.
