Georgetown, Guyana – (May 25, 2017) Cabinet, at this week’s sitting, noted the award of a contract for emergency repairs to the generator set of the Transport and Harbours Department Ferry, MV Kanawan. The contract, which is to the tune of $13,048,010, has been awarded to Courtney Benn Contracting Services Limited.
The MV Kanawan was inoperable from April 26 to April 30, a period of five days, due to the failure of the generator.
