Georgetown, Guyana – (December 2, 2016) President David Granger and First Lady, Mrs. Sandra Granger, earlier this evening, attended a reception hosted by the British High Commissioner to Guyana, Mr. Greg Quinn, in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales, KCVO, familiarly known as Prince Harry.

 

His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales, KCVO, familiarly known as Prince Harry signs a Book, which was opened for invitees at the British High Commissioner’s residence at a reception held in his honour, to mark his visit to Guyana.

The Prince is currently on a Royal Tour of the Caribbean on the behalf of Her Majesty, Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Over the past two weeks, the Prince has visited Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Barbados. Prince Henry, upon his arrival in Guyana on Friday afternoon, met with President David Granger, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo and other members of the Cabinet at the Ministry of the Presidency.

The reception was also attended by Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo and Mrs. Sita Nagamootoo, Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Barton Scotland and his wife, Justice Jo-Ann Barlow, former President, Donald Ramotar, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Carl Greenidge, Minister of State, Mr. Joseph Harmon, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Mr. Basil Williams and other Ministers of the Government, members of the Opposition, members of the Diplomatic Corps, Members of the National Assembly and other organisations.
