Georgetown, Guyana – (August 5, 2016) Minister of State, Mr. Joseph Harmon, yesterday afternoon, received a courtesy call from Director of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Dr. G. Rudra Rao and Mr. Shyam Nokta, TERI Chief Representative for the Caribbean, at the Ministry of the Presidency.
The TERI and the Guyana Government entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on May 25, 2011, agreeing to collaborate in the areas of climate change, energy, the environment and sustainable development. Dr. Rao committed to support the building of technical capacity in energy efficiency and renewable energy at today’s meeting.
