Georgetown, Guyana – (May 13, 2016) President David Granger, today, met with Mr. Havlard Sealy and Mr. Brian Clarke from the Main Street Art Group at the Ministry of the Presidency.

The President said that art is an important aspect of culture and this is an important aspect of the Guyanese identity. He assured the group of his full support.

“We support local craft and we want to see creative persons like yourselves develop,” he said.

The Main Street Art Group was founded in the 1980s by a group of local artisans.
