Georgetown, Guyana – (March 16, 2016) Executive Officer of the President’s Youth Award, Republic of Guyana (PYARG) Programme, Mr. Allister Collins and his brother, Chairman of the Habitat for Humanity, Dr. Astell Collins, paid a courtesy call on President David Granger, at the Ministry of the Presidency, today.
During the meeting, the goals and developmental objectives of the programme were discussed and President Granger assured the brothers that his office will facilitate future meetings to ensure that the PYARG’s mandate is fully established and achieved.
In an invited comment after the meeting, Mr. Collins said the long-overdue meeting was successful.
“I am very happy that he [President Granger] listened to the concerns we have. I wanted to hear from him about the future of the PYARG programme so I am very happy to hear his heart …about the future of the programme,” he said.
