His Excellency, Brigadier David Granger, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana is saddened to learn of the passing of the Assistant Commissioner of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Mr. Balram Persaud.
Condolences are extended to his wife Mrs. Christine Persaud, children, Andrea, Andre, Arjune, Krishna, Sephora, other relatives and friends of Assistant Commissioner Persaud. These sentiments are also extended to the Commissioner of Police, Officers and members of the GPF.
As Assistant Commissioner, Mr. Persaud acted as Police Commissioner whenever the substantive office holder was on leave or overseas on official business and attended meetings of the National Security Committee in the absence of the Commissioner. His advice and input was always valued.
