Georgetown, Guyana – (February 3, 2016) President David Granger, today, met with three residents of Karia Karia Village, Essequibo, Region Two, at the Ministry of the Presidency.
The residents: Ms. Everly Sampson, Mr. Compton Klass and Mr. Franklin Samuels, raised a number of issues affecting their community, during the meeting with the President.
In a brief comment after the meeting, Mr. Klass said that residents are very concerned about community development and improving livelihoods.
“We need transportation for the children to get to school, the … roads and the school and health post need repairs,” Mr. Klass said.
Karia Karia is a small community located on the left bank of the Essequibo River.
