Georgetown, Guyana – (November 05, 2015) China’s Ambassador to Guyana, His Excellency, Mr. Zhang Limin says his government will be working closely with Guyana in the areas of renewable energy generation and infrastructural development. Earlier today, the Ambassador was part of a meeting with President David Granger, Minister of State Joseph Harmon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Greenidge, and Minister of Governance Raphael Trotman.
In addition views were exchanged on strengthening current and future cooperation between Guyana and China.
In 1972, Guyana became the first English-speaking Caribbean country to recognise the People’s Republic of China, and after more than 42 years of friendship and cooperation, the bilateral relationship, shared between these two countries continues to flourish.
