Georgetown, Guyana – (August 18, 2015) First Lady Sandra Granger was today paid a courtesy call by, Verian Barker, owner and Chief Executive Officer of the We Care Group of Publishers. Baker is also a freelance journalist, blogger, and published author. The meeting was held at the First Lady’s office at State House.
Barker was one of the first female officers to graduate from the Guyana Defence Force’s Cadet Officer’s course. After receiving her academic foundation in Guyana, she moved to the United States where she attended university in New York and California.
She is currently freelancing for the Caribbean Current, an online news and lifestyle magazine.
