President hands over computer to Ptolemy Reid typist

Georgetown, GINA, March 18, 2008

In keeping with a commitment made to the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre on December 3 last, President Bharrat Jagdeo today handed over a laptop computer complete with accessories to typist at the Centre, Stacy Johnson at the Office of the President.
            The differently-abled occupant of the Centre is skilled and dedicated to her work at the centre and this was observed by the Head of State when he visited the entity in December and interacted with its occupants. On this note, he promised to assist the Centre with the provision of a modern laptop computer and two teachers.  
            Over the years, the Office of the President has been assisting a number of centres and schools with computers and other accessories to assist them in becoming computer- literate.
